Billie Farley and the East Waco Public Library welcomed Waco native Cynthia Toliver for a book signing on August 2, 2008. KWTX TV and anchor Emily Matthews interviewed the author and covered the signing.

Cynthia D. Toliver will sign copies of Crown's Jewel on June 9th at 11:30 a.m. The signing will take place on the second floor of the Ron E. Lewis Library on the campus of Lamar State College-Orange.

Cynthia Toliver of Orange recently had her debut novel "Crown's Jewel" published by iUniverse. The book, available for $14.95 in Orange at Encouraging Word Christian Bookstore and LaSalle Biblical Items was inspired by the piney woods, bayous and rice fields of Southeast Texas.

Rice University will honor its 2008 authors, artists, composers and editors with a program and panel discussion on Thursday, February 26 at 5:30 pm. A reception will immediately follow the program. A 1980 graduate of Rice, Ms. Toliver, who published her debut novel in 2008 will be an honoree and panelist.
